She started working in the field of Behavior Analysis in 2013, while completing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, where the rigorous academic and clinical experience she received further fostered her passion for doing values-driven work to improve the well-being of others. While in graduate school, Channing gained experience conducting behavior analytic research and providing services in a variety of clinical areas including: early intervention, severe problem behavior, verbal behavior, caregiver support, teacher training, and vocational assessment and training. After earning a Master’s degree and obtaining her BCBA® in May 2017, she returned home to Louisiana to continue providing high-quality services to individuals, families, and organizations. Channing's primary areas of interest include teaching functional life skills, self-regulation and self-advocacy skills, establishing forms of functional communication, caregiver collaboration, and staff training and supervision. Her clinical approach emphasizes collaboration with caregivers and other professionals to ensure the most effective outcomes for all clients. Channing created Summit with the goals of providing client-focused, values-driven services to improve well-being and to create an environment that fosters the values of learning and growth in all of Summit's team members.
