Our Service Pathways

At Summit, we organize services into pathways that reflect common developmental stages and priorities. These pathways help ensure that programming, service intensity, and clinical goals remain appropriate as learners grow.

Early Foundations

Ages 2-5 (up to 6)

25-35 hours per week

Core focus: Establishing foundational learning and communication skills, including joint attention, requesting, imitation, solitary play, following instructions, receptive labeling, and developing a “learning-to-learn” routine.

Life Essentials

Ages 7 and older

15-25 hours per week

Core focus: Increasing independence in daily life through functional communication, self-care, functional academics, play and leisure skills, and safety awareness.

School Readiness

Ages 4-6

20-35 hours per week

Core focus: Building skills that support participation in group and school-like environments, including waiting, cooperation, following instructions, cooperative play, and early social language such as expressive labeling and answering questions.

Executive Functioning & Social Independence

Ages 12–18; ages 10–11 may be considered when clinically appropriate
4–10 hours per week; up to 15 hours as clinically needed
Core focus: Strengthening executive functioning, social skills, and community independence. Goals may include organization, planning, conversation, emotional regulation, navigating community spaces, and job-readiness skills for success at home, in the community, and in future work settings.

Bridge

Mixed ages; typically 5–9

15-25 hours per week

Core focus: Expanding independence through independent work, group-based instruction, social-emotional skill development, early executive-functioning skills, and support related to school settings.
